Anti Aging Tips - Is There Such Thing As Anti Aging Foods That Help You Live Longer?

We all know that our diet plays a large part in how healthy we are. Anti aging and skin care products are one thing, but are there certain foods that can help counteract the negative effects aging has on the body? The simple answer is yes! These foods contain the right types of antioxidants and vitamins that can help our bodies and our skin function at optimum levels and aid in the anti aging process. These foods, in conjunction with a good skin care regime, will dramatically improve the health of your skin and body:- Red Wine / Resveratrol
- Garlic
- Avocado
- Coconut oil
- Berries
- Dark Chocolate
- Beans
- Fish
- Vegetables
- Nuts
- Whole GrainsI'd like to delve a little further in to my top 3 foods that are essential to anti aging.Red wine, or more accurately the antioxidant 'resveratrol' that is contained in red wine, is the most potent source of antioxidant known today and is found naturally in foods like grapes and nuts.Studies have shown that when comparing two groups of overweight mice on a high-fat diet, giving one group of mice resveratrol has dramatic effects. The first group of mice were given high doses of resveratrol as well as a high-fat diet, the other were not given any dose of resveratrol. The overweight mice that were given resveratrol were found to be healthier and lived longer than the overweight mice that did not get resveratrol.Subsequent studies have shown that when started at middle age, resveratrol slowed deterioration of body and skin cells that resulted from aging, as well as repairing and improving cell function. Whilst it may be too early to determine the proper dosage of resveratrol, there is no doubting the health and anti aging benefits of this antioxidant that Harvard Professors have called "a modern day miracle."

Resveratrol is also an incredible way to help boost your immune system which in itself carries great anti aging benefits and whilst you might not get the essential dosage from a glass of red wine, it certainly can't hurt to substitute a glass or two in to your weekly regime... cheers!Garlic, the scourge of Vampires all over the world, is an ancient wonder food to us living humans. Garlic is an amazingly healthy and incredibly tasty food which can be eaten on its own or added to other foods and recipes to simply complement and enhance the flavour of the dish. Its anti-aging benefits include lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, reducing inflammation, protecting and maintaining cell health and is a natural way to boost the immune system.Avocado, long hailed for its anti aging properties, is a food that can be enjoyed in so many different forms. They are a great source of vitamin E and potassium as well as monounsaturated fats and antioxidants. The antioxidant vitamins in avocados have been shown to reduce cholesterol, improve skin health and lower blood pressure.Avocados are also rich in folic acid and vitamin B, which are linked to heart attack prevention and reducing the risk of osteoporosis. Avocados also contain oleic acid, a monounsaturated fat that has been shown to lower bad cholesterol, increase good cholesterol and protect against blood clots.Yours in Freedom
