Look Vibrant and Youthful: Combat Ageing Skin

Skin ages and that is something that cannot be prevented. When a woman reaches the age of 50, chances are, there will be fine lines and sagging skin from your face down to your body. When you are still in your 20s, you may not think much about wrinkles because your skin is still supple and very youthful. When you reach your 30s, when lines start showing around the eyes, you may think it's normal; and indeed it is. At 40s, you will start to worry because the fine lines start to increase in numbers and you notice more and more changes in your facial skin as well as the rest of your body. This is the time when you will start to realize that the youthful skin in your 20s has completely abandoned you. Do not despair though as there are things that you can do and products that you can use to stop the progress of ageing skin. How Ageing Skin StartsFirst though, it is better to know why skin ages, and why some people experience it early on as well as why some seem to be unaffected by it.Excessive exposure to the sun is one of the main causes of premature ageing skin. Therefore, if you are constantly outside, then there is a big chance that your skin will lose collagen earlier than necessary. The same result happens if you smoke, drink and is constantly stressed out. You need to understand that your age is actually not the reason why your skin ages; it is actually more of how you treat your skin.Without proper treatment, your skin starts losing its natural glow because of collagen loss, which will eventually result to dry and dull skin.Prevention Versus RepairYou need to understand that it is easier to prevent future damages than to repair what's already there. If you truly want to stop premature ageing skin, you need to start as early as you can.The good news is that you have the capacity to put the brakes on such occurrences and return your skin into its former glory.

Protect yourself from the harmful sunrays. This is one of the most valuable things to keep in mind. If you need to go out when the sun is up, make sure that an umbrella, a hat and a dose of sunscreen or sun block cream protects you.

You actually should wear sunscreen rain or shine. Use SPF 40 sunscreen every day will give your skin that much needed protection. You need to understand that even during winter, the sun's rays can still do damage, and it only takes 20 minutes of unprotected sun exposure to damage your skin, so protect your skin all year round.

Stop smoking. This is the best thing you can do for your skin. The skin of a long time smoker tends to be as wrinkly as a crumpled paper, and that is not an exaggeration. The first lines usually appear in the late 20s and visible above the mouth due to constant lip pursing. The reason why smoking is considered as the second major cause of ageing skin is that nicotine is responsible in constricting the blood vessels that result in decreased oxygen flow to the skin.

Treat your skin to a facial treatment once a week. You can use a commercially available product or you can go all natural by concocting a homemade facial scrub solution. Usually, a facial treatment takes only half an hour, and the methods include skin cleansing and exfoliation with a facial scrub. You can also use a hydrating mask then follow up with a quick steam and then moisturize. Salon facial treatment is of course recommended as well.

Moisturize every day. This is another beneficial thing to do. A good way to do this is to moisturize while your skin is still damp to lock the moisture effectively.

You can also use retinoid-based products every day. Retinoid proves to be a good agent that can effectively erase years from the face. As dermatologists claim, retinoid lotion is that one anti-ageing product that actually works.
Finally, love your skin if you want it to stay healthy and glowing. Avoid being stressed too much. Smile a lot and laugh whenever possible. Simply put love in your life and enjoy even the simplest things it offers you.

Keep Interested, Get Active, and You Won't Get Old Before Your Time

Age - and agelessness - is about attitude and health.Your attitude has to one of interest and curiosity: interest in the people around you, in learning, in current affairs, a craft, gardening, motor sports, fishing, reading... As long as your interests are legal and not obsessive or abusive, I don't think it really matters what they are. In my experience, those with a wide range of interests are lively, good company and they keep their youthfulness for a very long time.It is undeniably easier to follow your interests and keep active if you can keep your health. Healthy people - those who don't suffer so much from long term conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer - are often fit as well. They are less likely to be obese and more likely to be out and about, walking, cycling, being busy and active. The key to avoiding getting old before your time is therefore to keep, or to get, as fit as you can.Sadly it is much easier to keep your fitness levels than it is to get back lost fitness, so it is essential that you start on a heathier and fitter regime as soon as you can. If your fitness has already slipped so that any exercise takes a great deal of effort, you must be extra careful about how you go about improving the situation. Too much of the wrong sort of exercise may risk of injury or even a heart attack, but just as importantly is likely to put you off exercise altogether.

Over the last few years I have regularly attended several classes, such as Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates and Zumba and I have also regularly used the gym. I have seen lots of different people come and go, and I sometimes make little bets with myself to see if I can correctly guess who will stick with the activity and who will only come once or twice. It is almost always those who are very unfit to start with who give up. You can see they are finding the exercise a trial rather than an enjoyable challenge, and if you don't enjoy exercising it is very unlikely that you'll keep it up.Start with something that you can enjoy and that you can achieve. Walking fits the bill for many people: you don't need special equipment, and you can start very gently and build up your strength and stamina quite quickly. Best of all you can tie in walking to things that you enjoy, whether that is a walk through town or in the country.Once you start getting fitter, the benefits to the quality of your life become very clear. So don't delay. Find something you enjoy doing and start today!

Best Ways Now to Boost Your Immune System

There should be little doubt of the importance of prescription immune system drugs for our health. They have been a life-saver for many people to combat AIDS, bacterial infections, HIV infections, viral infections and a wide range of other illnesses, both life-threatening and temporary. Which brings on a problem: because it seems so easy to get an immunity system boost from drugs, and there is no lacking on drugs to take care of every need, they have become a panacea for every problem relating to the immune system. The problems with this are that side effects often go hand-in-hand with these drugs, and often the side effects are worse than the disease. When we introduce our systems to powerful drugs that are outside of our natural immune systems, they could set off a string of unintended consequences. These are the side effects that we hear in disclaimers in advertisements for these drugs. Also, when your doctor prescribes your medication it is based on what is supposed to work based on previously has worked for other people. The problem is not all people are the same. There is a lot of evidence that people can actually become immune to their medication, triggering a constant process of chasing a medication that will be effective. Taking prescription medication to boost the immune system should only be done when all natural remedies are exhausted. Not to mention they are often very costly. But maintaining a strong immune system for most people shouldn't begin when it is being overwhelmed. There probably isn't anything we can do that is more important for our health than performing better preventive maintenance of our immune system. Exercise and an active lifestyle are undoubtedly the most effective ways we can do this. But there are certain foods that we can add to our diet that could be called immune super foods.

1. Garlic. It's been found in studies that people who eat garlic on a regular basis are two-thirds less likely to catch a cold. It's the allicin in garlic that fights bacteria and is a great immunity booster.2. Green tea. Any food that is high in antioxidants will help prevent viruses, and green tea with its abundance of the antioxidant catechin is a top choice.3. Oranges. Not orange juice, but fresh oranges are what you should consume. Oranges, like most fruit is heavy in fructose, which should be kept under control. But orange juice invariably has added sugar, which should be avoided. The large dose of vitamin C from oranges will help to minimize colds.4. Yogurt. The healthy bacteria in yogurt, called probiotics, fight disease-causing bacteria in the digestive tract.5. Sweet potatoes. To get more vitamin A, eat sweet potatoes on a regular basis. Vitamin A is one of the most important ingredients to healthy skin, and that is the body's first defense against viruses.6. Mushrooms. Studies have found that mushrooms make white blood cells more aggressive, and these are important in fighting infections.

5 Anti-Aging Vitamins To Reverse The Clock On Life

There is not a single person who has been able to escape time. It makes itself most conspicuous in those wrinkles, fine lines, age spots and saggy skin. This is true, but you can at least try to delay these ugly signs of aging. Using the right vitamins either orally or topically is the key to firm up loose skin, improve its tone and reduce the appearance of age-related wrinkles. So, here's a list of the 5 anti-aging vitamins with their benefits. Include them in your diet and skin care routine if you want to preserve your youthful radiance for a few more years.1. Vitamin C - Boosts Collagen and Fades Brown Spots
Vitamin C is well-known as a remedy for common colds as it boosts the immune system. It is also one of the important anti-aging nutrients on the market. It delays aging by increasing the production of collagen, at the same improving its quality. It protects your skin against sun damage by inhibiting the action of free radicals. Vitamin C also fades brown spots and evens out the skin tone and texture. An antioxidant itself, it helps in the synthesis of other antioxidants. Citrus fruits and leafy green vegetables are a good source of Vitamin C.2. Vitamin E - Quells Dryness
Vitamin E is also known for its anti-aging qualities. It is a fat-soluble vitamin that protects the cell membranes against UV damage. For this same reason, it is a chief ingredient in sunscreen lotions. Vitamin E contained in creams and lotions repairs dry, dull and cracked skin and infuses moisture for a supple look and feel. Nuts, seeds (sunflower seeds), vegetable oils, avocados and green leafy vegetables contain Vitamin E in abundance. It is also available in varied topical applications and supplements.

3. Vitamin K - Helps Under Eye Dark Circles
Tired raccoon-like eyes are a part and parcel of growing old. And while we attribute it to lack of sleep, it might in reality be the result of a deficiency of vitamin K. Very often fragile capillaries rupture and cause blood to leak into the surrounding skin. Vitamin K lightens under-eye dark circles by constricting capillaries and dissolving blood clots. The human body does not produce Vitamin K in large amounts and therefore has to be supplied externally either through diet, supplements of creams.4. Vitamin B3 -
Vitamin B3 or Niacin counteracts the effects of aging by working inside out. It reinforces the outer protective barrier of skin by boosting the production of ceramides and fatty acids. As such, it locks moisture in and keeps skin irritants out. Additionally, it sloughs off dead skin cells and promotes cell repair and renewal.5. Vitamin A - The All-round Age Fighter
When it comes to defying age, there is no match for Vitamin A. Vitamin A in the form of Retinol is a chief ingredient in most over-the-counter lotions, night creams and prescriptions products. Vitamin A helps you age gracefully by reducing wrinkles, fading brown spots and smoothing skin roughness. This antioxidant also neutralizes the damaging effects of oxidation caused by free radicals. It also helps with under-eye dark circles as it thickens the skin around and under the eyes.

Exciting News About Ferulic Acid and Retinol Serum for Anti-Aging Wrinkle and Fine Lines Reduction

Very recently, cosmetics and skin care companies seem to have discovered a very powerful combination of compounds, which is working skin miracles for people all over the world. While it's been known for many years that some nutrients, such as Vitamin C and Vitamin E, are beneficial to the health of human skin, hair and nails, the science behind such health news is gaining momentum by the day. What we're talking about here are a couple of all natural substances known as Ferulic Acid and Retinol. Serums have been popping up world-wide, intended to improve the health of people's skin, reduce wrinkles, improve elasticity, and fight free radicals in the body, which leads to a whole other list of holistic health advantages.Let's first take a look at Ferulic AcidWhat is it? Where does it come from? And why should you care about it?Ferulic Acid is actually found in nature. A 100% natural extract, it's commonly found in foods like apples, oranges, rice, artichokes, coffee beans and wheat. In many of these foods, the acid is found mostly in the outer layers and protective skin of the fruit, vegetable, or grain. And that's no coincidence.Ferulic Acid is gaining popularity for its antibacterial and antifungal properties, as well as its ability to fight off problem-causing free radicals. That's its primary role in the plants it's extracted from and a very good reason for including it in skin care products. It's no secret why we appreciate antifungal and antibacterial properties, when it comes to our skin, but what the heck are free radicals? On the topic of our skin, free radicals are what put our skin cells through oxidative stress, stripping our outer layer of moisture and elasticity, leading to wrinkles and dark spots. Luckily, there are now serums available that combat this exact issue, and quite effectively at that.

What about Retinol? So it makes sense for Ferulic Acid to make the cut, but why the Retinol? For starters, it's also found in nature - in yellow and green vegetables, the healthy oil extracted from fish liver, and even egg yolks. The main benefits of Retinol, or essentially an entire molecule of Vitamin A, are promoting the health of our skin and hair (much like Ferulic Acid), but also improved vision and healthier growth. Many people, in fact, take doses of fish oil daily to improve the look and feel of their hair and skin alone. It shares some properties of Ferulic Acid, such as free radical fighting properties, but it also aids in areas where Ferulic Acid might fall short on its own.For example, one of the most popular characteristics of Retinol is the way it encourages skin cells to stick together more firmly, allowing damaged skin to repair itself more quickly and allowing it to maintain a healthy, silky glow for longer.Serums containing a mixture Ferulic Acid and Retinol have been flying off shelves faster than manufacturers can keep up, and it's not surprising, considering the results they've been delivering. Often applied directly to the skin, the serums are very effective at lightening dark spots, minimizing wrinkles and intensely moisturizing. But much more good than that is known to come from such products. The combined free radical fighting abilities of Ferulic Acid and Retinol are proven to fight off cancer cells, improve thyroid health, and much more.

Why Use Supplements to Procrastinate Signs of Ageing

Ageing is an inevitable process and no one can flee from its visible signs. Fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots are bound to appear sooner or later depending upon our lifestyle. Stress, unhealthy diet, pollution aggravate ageing process. Today, it is not just the middle aged people, but youngsters too are facing the same challenge. Premature ageing is a common thing found among the metropolitan youth. It is not hard to find a young face with fine lines or dark spots. Urbanised living habits is to be blamed for the same, especially eating habits. We can diligently adapt a healthy lifestyle by consuming nutritious food, but again, the purity of such food is uncertain. Many individuals claim to be living a healthy lifestyle but still show ageing signs. Why is that? Vegetables and fruits are bought from the market, and food is freshly prepared in a clean environment at home. Why then do we still have such complains? Is something wrong with what we buy from our local vendors? How positive can we be about the fruits and vegetables from the market when we have no idea where they come from? Today, farmers use a lot of pesticides and other chemicals in their agricultural process making food highly inorganic and unsafe. We consume the same food along with all the pollutants which takes a toll on our health and skin.To deal with such issues and give holistic health to people, scientists have reached and developed nutritional supplements. They form a substitute to our diet and do not replace a whole meal, but help attain a nutritive balance. They supply the nutrients which we may most likely fail to give our body, causing premature ageing. These supplements are formulated using high end technology and organically produced resources. With the use of science, only the desired components of each resource is proportionally added

It has been proven that herbs like wheat grass, barley and alfalfa help control signs of ageing. They together provide more than 70% chlorophyll which purifies blood and reduces the accumulation of Lipofuscin, an ageing protein. Selenium which is found in the seeds of sunflower and sesame also helps combat wrinkles and fine lines. Certified nutritional supplements are effective and safe as they are developed with utmost research. Only the goodness of each resource is captured to boost neutralisation of blood and give the necessary nutrients to the body. These supplements also balance the pH level which enhances the cellular system. All these natural components ensure the rejuvenation of face tissue: reducing fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots and other signs of ageing. But consuming all of these components in proportionate quantity seems improbable due to our lack of scientific knowledge and fast pace living habits.Given the above case, popping a nutritious pill would seem wise as it contains only the required components in the desired proportion. Moreover, there carry no unseen pollutants and come in a compact form. What more would one want in a world of convince.

Reach Your Full Facial Beauty Potential

A Non-Surgical Facelift is a natural way to reduce signs of aging to your face. We now know that our faces never stop growing. Dentofacial orthopedics is the control and/or modification of facial growth. With a simple retainer-like device, worn at night while you sleep) you can arrest and reverse the premature aging of your face.Your own personal facelift from the inside out!A non-surgical Facelift does not require surgery, it comes from within, from your own genetic map and makeup -not superficially stretching the top layer of skin. Your face will gradually improve over time. It is a completely natural way to enhance your face and reduce the effects of aging.A Non-Surgical Dental Facelift that Comes from Within! They say that beauty is only skin deep. However, our beauty is supported by our bones. Cosmetic surgeons are now going deeper to plump up our sagging faces. The latest cosmetic surgical technique, described by New York Magazine as the "New, New Facelift" is reported to lift our tired tissues from very deep; from just above the bone. Wait a minute here! What if we could get the body to grow new bone? Widen our cheekbones and firm up our jaws, holistically, without surgery? That would be a painless, non-surgical way to turn back the clock? Does such a thing exist?

"Dentistry is not just about teeth anymore". Twenty-first century genetics known as the science of Epigenetics teaches that we can alter our faces (phenotype) without altering our DNA (genotype). That in fact there is a process known as "dentofacial othopedics" which is all about the control and/or modification of facial growth. "We as adults still have growth potential in our faces", "we need to turn the genes that have not yet been expressed on to increase our facial volume and arrest and reverse the premature aging of the face". People are skeptical. Doctors can keep records that include three dimensional scans of the facial skeleton of their patients before and after treatment. The software used to register the scans has been developed by the Mayo Clinic in a serious effort over the span of twenty-five years.Patients wear a device that looks like a dental retainer at night time only. There are noticeable facial results in three to six months. The maximum amount of change in the bone will require two years wearing the appliance every night.
